Q3 Unit 3: My Sketches of the Human Brain
The brain is main function that controls everything that occurs in the body. It is among the largest and most complex organs in the human body. In the brain, more than 100 billion nerves communicate in trillions of connections known as synapses (WebMD). The brain is surrounded by a layer of tissue called the meninges. The skull (cranium) helps protect the brain from injury. It is divided into several sections including, the cerebellum, the cerebrum, the diencephalon and the brainstem.

My Reflection:
In the process of creating the sketches, I have learnt about the parts and functions of the brain. Since I have never learnt about the anatomy of the brain before, this has opened my views on this special organ. I have noticed that from the top view of the brain, the right and left sides are quite similar, as if divided by a mirror line. I have used watercolour paint for the coloured sketch. The sketch can be improved by creating a better blend and tones for the colours.
