Q3 Unit 3: Factual Inquiry Question: In what way does Science support Art?
Despite that science and art seem to be two fields of the opposite poles, but when it is deeply seen to, sciences and art goes hand-in-hand. I believe that science does actually greatly supports arts. This is very much true especially when working with the human figures. Countless artists have made their artworks based on the human body, such as the sculpture of The Thinker, the Mona Lisa, the Birth of Venus and many more. Furthermore, Leonardo da Vinci would not be able to sketch the human anatomy if it was not for this knowledge of the human body. The scientific knowledge that he had gain from dissecting bodies has help him to know how muscles and human organs work. Besides that, I think that this works both ways, where arts also supports science. Art elements and skills are required when studying and exploring the knowledge of science. Scientists and doctors would not be able to study body systems, organs, and cells if art is not involved, as they have to draw it out to have a visual understanding of it. Therefore, arts and science certainly have to walk together, as both support each other.
