In what way can art influence society?

In my opinion, art has great impact on the society and the world people live in. Art is a form of expression that demonstrates and act as a guideline for the ways of the society and its beliefs. The traditional ways and perspectives of the society can be altered by the influence of art. For instance, the Pop Art movement that emerged in the mid-1950s in Britain brought about great change in the society, even up till the modern day. This form of art totally went separate path with the earlier forms of arts, as it distinguishable from its bold, simple, vibrant block colours and everyday imagery. The rise of Pop Art influence the society like never before, as it was the beginning when the advertisements, product packaging, posters, and comic strips were very popularly presented by the pop iconography. Therefore, art is able to influence the trend and perspectives of the society.
